If you know about this departure in advance, then select some favorite photographs of both of you and other friends in your group. Try to select twenty photographs or more, and get them printed in your desired size. Compile those photographs chronologically in a beautiful photo album.
Even after many years, if you guys don't get a chance to meet... and someday, your friend discovers the photo album from his/her cupboard again... we promise that he/she would remember you with a smile on face and a resolution to meet you again.
